Submitted by Genevieve L: The fawn boxer is mine and the white boxer is my first actual rescue now named Brewster. When I first saw Brewster it was on a Facebook link of dogs in need at Lancaster pound in California. My heart melted and I couldn’t sit around and let them destroy him. I made the choice to drive 5 hours down to Lancaster to pull him, not knowing anything about him. I paid for him and had to come back two days later to pick him up. The next trip my parents went with me. He was in worse condition than before and had no reaction to anything. He was severely depressed and my heart was aching for him. Getting him rehabilitated was trying, but it didn’t take long before he loved everything and everyone. Rescue organizations put up courtesy posts for me and I found him the most wonderful home! He now is around people and other dogs everyday, getting to go to the beach, and plays with as many toys as his heart desires. :) The family is truly amazing and it all started by them looking to adopt rather than buy. As you can see here he is a looker and he knows it. It was the best thing I have ever done and I hope to one day have my own rescue and place more dogs like Brewster into their furever homes!!!
