a place to love dogs

This is Winry! She is 4 month old Border Collie/Bernese Mountain Dog mix. In this photo, Winry is enjoying a beautiful day after what seemed like months of rain.
This is actually the second photo I have submitted to aplacetolovedogs. My first picture was of my previous dog, Buster. Buster was my everything and after I lost him to cancer, I just didn’t know if I would ever be able to come back from it; however, after more than two years without a dog, I decided to adopt and I felt ready for a new love (besides my wonderful cat). On January 30th, 2013, I adopted Winry. She is absolutely incredible. Winry is brilliant and has learned so much in the time I have had her. She has quickly become part of the family and I just know Buster is watching over her. The picture submitted was actually taken on what would have been Buster’s 11th birthday. After days of rain, March 9th was the absolute perfect weather and because of that, Winry spent the entire day running around and having a blast. We both thanked her older brother for such a wonderful time. I am so thankful for Winry and so grateful for the man who allowed me to adopt her, as well as rescued her in the first place. She is much more than I could have asked for and I love her so much.
