Photographer is looking for someone to adopt this cutie ::: From @ericcharlesphoto ::: #ig #puppy #adopt (Taken with Instagram)
Shelley Mamott, Staff Writer
The owners of a heroic Labrador have come forward late Monday to claim the dog, just hours before she was going to be adopted by her new family.
Grace, as she was known by animal control officials, and Maggie to her
These are just some of the dog and puppy photos that I took over the summer for the Stray Animal Adoption Agency (SAAP).
SAAP is an awesome non-profit organization that uses foster homes to rehabilitate animals that have been left in not so good conditions. They have rescued puppies from puppy mills, dogs and cats from death row, and much more.
I took these pictures in hopes that better quality photos of the animals would attract more potential adopters. The dogs were so much fun to photograph, and I definitely wanted to take all of them home!
I have no background in photography…I just have a nice-ish camera and I love puppies. It’s so easy to volunteer!!! If you have any talent at all for photography, web design, pretty much anything, call or email your local no-kill shelter and see what you can do for them! Save ALL the puppies!

Shelters across the nation are promoting October as “Adopt a Shelter Dog” month. It is a time to pay tribute to homeless dogs

About 2 weeks ago I went to an animal shelter not far from my house and fell in love with Pepe (brown &white) and brought him home to be part of the family. Him and Zippo are now best friends.
Pepe is only 12 months old and had been in the shelter for 3 months waiting to be rehomed. How could anyone abandon such a gorgeous little face? He is such a sweet little guy, he absolutely loves people and other dogs.
I love that Pepe got a 2nd chance at life. If you’re looking to get a new pet check out animal shelters rather than pet shops

My name is Fifi. My owner doesn’t have time for me anymore so she is sadly giving me up. She was set on giving me to the Humane Society but someone asked her to give me another chance at finding a home. I am a year old, I live indoors and I am potty trained. My owner hasn’t taken much time to train me but I’m sweet and friendly with other dogs and people. Please give me a chance at finding a second home. I currently live in Miami, FL.
Contact Joanna if interested at joanna.acosta001@gmail.com. Please hurry. I have until tuesday before i am given to the pound where i have a 50/50 chance of either finding a home or being put to sleep.
*FIFI HAS FOUND A HOME! Thank you soo much for posting this and helping. She was taken today by my mom’s boss’s friend who happened to have a rottweiler already and wanted another one to keep hers company. She will be in great hands. Thank you everyone for all you’ve done. Fifi and I really appreciate it. ![]()

This absolutely breaks my heart to have to do this.
Due to my homelessness being long term and not being solved in the foreseeable future, I’m rehoming my Boo. She is a 2 year old Boxer/English Mastiff/Labrador mutt. She is a large dog and you can see more pictures of her on my profile. I would much rather her have a nice stable life than being kept in kennels or the like just so that I can keep her. I’ve been very selfish in thinking I could keep her, but she needs care and attention that I cannot give her. She is currently in a foster home and that was never meant to be long term and her foster mother has been absolutely wonderful but Boo has become too much of a handful.
Boo needs plenty of exercise and is very affectionate. She is good with other dogs, cats, other pets and children. She is very healthy and eats three tins of food a day with a cup of dry food. She is also a wuss and avoids any sort of trouble with other dogs.
Please either comment on this or send me a message on here. I ask you all to please pass this on to others who you think might be able to help. I’d really like to see her in a good home, getting the care and attention that she requires.
You can also get me at:

and my phone is very temperamental but you can always give it a go on

Those of you that know me know exactly how much she means to me and just how hard this is for me.
I live in South-East London
Thankyou.

I intern at small midtown firm that provides marketing, communications, and fundraising services to non-profit organizations, and one of our clients is the Northeast Animal Shelter. Every few days, I update their list of cats and dogs that are waiting to be adopted on Craigslist and two online animal adoption directories. It’s always enjoyable (but also somewhat depressing) to see pictures of cute animals and read their sometimes cheesy descriptions.
Rene is one of my favorite dogs on the NEAS website that is currently waiting for someone to take him home. He’s a 2-year-old, 17-pound neutered Terrier Chihuahua Mix from the streets of Puerto Rico, and I like to think he was named after the French philosopher Rene Descartes. Look how adorable and handsome he is in this picture, trotting along on the grass like a fluffy miniature pony! This is the description on Rene’s page at the NEAS website:
“Hello, my name is Rene and I am from Puerto Rico. There are three, no four very important things you should know about rescuing a street dog. First, I may need help with housebreaking. I have never had a family or lived in a home. This is all new to me. Second, you should never take me off leash. I have never had to wear such a silly contraption such as a leash and collar. I am used to running free. It is not safe for me to do that, this is why I was rescued. Third, I am smart and an excellent escape artist. It is your job to keep me safe and make sure I don’t have any opportunity to get away from you. If you give me one small chance, I will take it. And last, and most important – I will be the most loving and grateful companion you will ever have.”
To adopt little Rene, call (978)-745-9888 and inquire about Rene (ID# 79732). To support Northeast Animal Shelter, click here to make a donation.
